 Lord Boyce became First Sea Lord in 1998, Chief of Defence Staff at the beginning of 2001 and retired in May 2003.  He was elevated to the peerage in June 2003 and sits on the Cross Benches. He was an NED and SID of WS Atkins plc (2004-2013), an NED of VT Group plc (2004-2010) and a former Advisor to Computer Sciences Corporation and Atos.

 Stephen is an engineer and has worked in the energy sector for most of his career, both in UK and internationally. He was previously VP Europe for GE Power, Regional VP Europe for Alstom and, before that, Country President for Alstom in the UK. Stephen is a Non-Executive Director of the University Hospitals Trust of North Midlands and also the Deputy President of the French Chamber of Great Britain. Stephen maintains strong links with the education sector, having been Chair of the Board of Governors of Staffordshire University.

 Sir Martin was Chief Executive of the British Council for eight years until December 2014.  He has worked in and on China for 30 years and has worked globally in the area of cultural and educational collaboration. In 2015 he was appointed Chairman of the Great Britain China Centre, an FCO sponsored body which focuses on legal and political links with China. He took over from Lord Coe as Chairman of International Inspiration, a sport for development foundation, in July 2015. He is Vice Chairman of Leonard Cheshire Disability, and is a board advisor for a number of China and education related businesses.

 John Holly is the Senior Defence Advisor for KPMG.  Previously, he was Chairman of the Atomic Weapons Establishment and Chief Operating Officer of Lockheed Martin UK.  He is a retired Major General in the United States Army and a member of the Strategy International Board of Advisors.

 Ken worked at Honda UK since 1993, becoming Executive Vice President, Honda Motor Europe in 2010. He was responsible for business performance in 27 European markets for Cars, Motorcycles and Power Equipment products. Ken has a high interest in developing people in the automotive industry and has a passion for seeing the development of apprenticeships.

 Derrick is responsible for manging relationships with International Development members and key stakeholders in addition to building the membership base. He will drive the International Development members’ engagement programme with key stakeholders including DFID and other HMG departments. Derrick has both development and private sector experience working mostly in Southern Africa and South Asia, but also some time in South East Asia. He has a MBA Marketing degree from the University of Leicester, UK.

Tom has extensive experience working across private, policy and charitable sectors, including with the engineering multinational Bechtel and the Royal Institute of International Affairs working on diverse issues such as international business development strategy, Africa’s changing international role, and opportunities for the UK in a changing world.
