Dear Members and Friends,

There will be numerous opportunities to write weekly roundups but only one to reflect on the 75th anniversary of D Day. I write this early on Thursday morning as a lone piper signals the exact hour the amphibious landings began. Many of us will have personal connections with that day and the following weeks and their demonstration of outstanding heroism and sacrifice both on the beaches and the home front. So I’m sure you will forgive me for postponing reports on some great events this week at 23 Grafton St (delivered despite traffic and helicopter noise inconveniences caused by The Donald’s London visit) and, instead, commemorating -and dwelling on the lessons from- June 6 1945.

Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing many of you here next week as we host 45+ UK Ambassadors from around the world. We are also excited to launch our annual summer exhibition on Tuesday evening.

Best wishes,

Peter O'Kane - Executive Chairman, Strategy International
