Speaker: HE Claus Grube, Danish Ambassador
Claus Grube has been Denmark’s popular and energetic Ambassador to Great Britain for over three years. The enviable view across London from his residence in the Arne Jacobsen-designed embassy in Sloane Street symbolises the oversight he has had of the whole Brexit process. Prior to arriving in London, he was Permanent Secretary of State in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and he has an extensive diplomatic career with several senior positions behind him. For many years, he worked on Denmark’s relations with Europe; and as Under-Secretary of the North Group in the late 1990s, he was involved in the process of EU enlargement and relations with post-communist states in Central and Eastern Europe. From 2003 to 2009 he was Danish Ambassador to the EU in Brussels.
Claus Grube is certain to have some penetrating observations and interesting perspectives on Brexit and we much look forward to discussing these with him
