Doug Scott is one of the world’s outstanding mountaineers and a celebrated mountain photographer of international repute. Best known for the first ascent of Everest’s South West Face – or (Everest: The Hard Way) – he has made over 40 major first ascents in the Himalaya and Greater Ranges. He has exhibited and published widely but only now, for the first time, in timeless black and white.

The medium and scale of this exhibition delivers a profound perspective on the world’s highest places; communicating both the starkness and the subtlety of the mountain landscape; capturing the grain of rock, glittering crystals of ice and the infinite horizon under an ever changing sky.
